[22] The first urban civilization in the area may have begun between 3,000 and 2,000 BC. [23]

It is located at an important geostrategic point that connects East Asia, South Asia, West Asia, and Central Asia.  Afghanistan became a socialist state in the 1970s after the Soviet Union, which was influenced by the Soviet Union and witnessed a long war with the Afghan Mujahideen that killed more than two million civilians over a decade and displaced them.  It became more than five million people.  After several successive coups and the victory of the Mojahedin over the government of Mohammad Najibullah, the Afghan Civil War began and entered a period of war between the various Mojahedin parties.  The Taliban took control of most of Afghanistan in the mid-1970s.  But with the onslaught of the US-led International Coalition in 2001, they lost power.  In December 2001, the UN Security Council commissioned the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) to assist in maintaining security and the new Afghan government led by Hamid Karzai. [30] Afghanistan is currently facing armed resistance from the Taliban and insurgents.  Another, such as the Haqqani Network, is involved in Pakistan and ISIS and is slowly rebuilding with the support of the international community.
