Madagascar (French: Madagascar) Officially known as the Republic of Madagascar (French: République de Madagascar), it is an island nation in sub-Saharan Africa, located in the waters of the Indian Ocean with its capital in Antananarivo.

Madagascar is the fourth largest island in the world.

 South Madagascar reaches Mozambique and is surrounded by the Seychelles, the Moon and Mauritius.

 Madagascar has a population of 27.5 million [12] and the official languages ??are French and Malagasy.  The currency of this country is called Ariari Malagasy.  About half of the country"s population is Christian and the other half follow indigenous religious traditions. [13] The country"s indigenous religious tradition focuses on the bond between the living and their deceased ancestors.

 The people of this country are made up of different ethnic groups, of which 26% are Marina, 15% are Betsimisaraka, and the rest are from different ethnic groups. [14]

 In prehistoric times, with the fragmentation of the Gondwana supercontinent, Madagascar seceded from the Indian subcontinent about 88 million years ago.  This has led to more than 90% of the island"s own wildlife and flora. [15] The island"s biodiversity is currently threatened by rising human populations and other threats.
