Libya became independent as the "Kingdom of Libya" in 1951 and was ruled from 1969 to 2011 by Muammar Gaddafi, who came to power in a military coup.  With the outbreak of civil war, which is perhaps one of the most important reasons for this war, there are many oil resources;  In 2011 and the relative victory of Gaddafi"s opponents, much of Libya was governed by the Transitional National Council.  The Libyan seat in the United Nations has been entrusted to the representative of the Transitional National Council since September 16, 2011.
