Kenya The Republic of Kenya (coastal: Jamhuri ya Kenya) is a country in East Africa.  Its capital is Nairobi and Mombasa, Kisumo and Nakuru are its major cities.

Kenya is divided into eight provinces, each governed by a governor.  These provinces are divided into 71 districts, 262 districts and 1088 districts.  The government oversees the work of the governorates.  The country has a population of 53,771,000. [11]

  Eighty-five percent of Kenyans are Christians and 11 percent are Muslims.  Their official languages ??are Swahili and English. [1]

  Kenya"s political affairs are within the framework of a presidential political system in which the president is both the leader of the country and the leader of the government.  The executive branch is in the hands of the government.  Legislation is divided between the government and the National Assembly of Kenya.  The judiciary is independent of the executive and the legislature.  Since independence, Kenya has maintained its political stability in the face of political shifts in the crises of neighboring countries.  With the advent of democracy, Kenyans gained more freedom.   It shares borders with Tanzania (775 km), Uganda (814 km), South Sudan (317 km), Ethiopia (867 km) and Somalia (684 km).
