The country has two extraterrestrials.  A small part of Oman is located in the southern part of the Strait of Hormuz, which is called Musandam.  This part is separated from the mainland.  The other area is called Madha, which is surrounded by the United Arab Emirates. [3]

Oman has had a self-sufficient kingdom since the 17th century.  The country was at the height of its power in the 19th century.  With the decline of power in the twentieth century, the country was greatly influenced by the Kingdom of Great Britain, but never formally became part of it.  Oman has extensive military and political ties with the United States and the United Kingdom, but pursues a free foreign policy.  The sovereignty of this country is undisputed monarchy, but the parliament also has a small legislative and inspection role.  Oman acts as a mediator between the countries of the Middle East.  Like other Arab countries in the Persian Gulf, the country"s main source of income is oil.  Compared to its neighbors, however, it is a modest producer.  Agriculture and fishing are also two important sources of income in Oman.  Another alternative source is tourism.  Oman is one of the oldest human settlements in the world and the people of Oman have lived for at least 106,000 years.  Oman also has the oldest independent state among the Arab countries.
